Literacy Academy
The Literacy Academy at Dunleith Elementary School delivers a quality Literacy Arts education for all students. Students utilize literacy skills to understand all aspects of learning. The literacy focus at Dunleith Elementary creates an environment where reading and writing are the foundations for life-long learning. This program provides Kindergarten through fifth grade students an inclusive academic program that integrates literacy with technology learning tools and resources.

Avoid The Rush… Get Back-to-School Immunizations Today
Children entering kindergarten, or those who are new to Georgia this school year will need an Immunization Certificate, Georgia Form 3231 and a Dental, Vision and Hearing Form 3200. Additionally, children entering the 6th grade need two doses of chicken pox vaccine, if they have not had chicken pox disease and, two doses of MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella). Marietta City Schools (MCS) classes begin Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010. Pre-registration dates/times and Pre-opening/open house activities dates/times vary district-wide. The MCS Transportation Department hosts their annual "Kindergarten Kruise" Tuesday, Aug. 10 during regularly scheduled route times. More»
Kindergarten Kruise, Aug. 10
The Marietta City Schools Transportation Department hosts their annual "Kindergarten Kruise", Tuesday, Aug. 10 for elementary students and their parents. Buses run during regularly scheduled route times, and any elementary student, regardless of grade, can ride the bus with their parent. Parents and students are returned to their original pickup location upon completion of the route.
